Niki starts from the 4th place onthe grid tomorrow in Jerez. In Friday Niki took his place in the Superpole 2 session based on 3rd position in the combined results of free practice. In Superpole 2 Niki showed once again that he has what it takes to battle for the front row.

- We found a better setup for the bike compared to friday today in free practice 3 and I managed to drive competitive lap times despite that we didn’t use new tyres. In qualifying the pace was once again on a really high level and I managed to cut over a second from my lap times compared to lap times earlier during the weekend, and that then set the pattern for the Following laps.

Although there appears to be a large gap to the front row, Niki is confident to get a good result tomorrow.

- The top guys appear a bit ahead if you look at the gap but I think that in the race lap times won’t be as low as they were today. Jerez hasn’t been the easiest track for me so therefore I am very happy with the results so far. Tomorrow my goal is to drive a steady race and we will see where it takes us.
